Help us to improve the translations

Download the English (en_US) template. You can edit the file with every UTF-8 capable editor, but we recommend specialized tools like Poedit.

When you are done, mail the edited .po-file to translation@leppsoft.com.

You can compile an edited .po-file with Poedit, msgfmt or other tools.

  • Poedit has an easy to use graphical user interface and generates the .mo-file upon saving.
  • msgfmt is for experienced users who we don\'t want to bother with unnecessary instructions.
The how to:
  1. Generate the .mo-file.
  2. Copy the .mo-file to {InstallDir}\languages\{LanguageCode}\translation.mo
    • Example: C:\Program Files\Soundpad\languages\en_GB\translation.mo
    • The default installation directories are:
      Standalone version: C:\Program Files\Soundpad\
      Steam edition: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Soundpad\
    • Language code examples:
      lt_LT
      ar
      ar_EG
  3. Restart Soundpad.
  4. Select your language at File ▷ Preferences ▷ Interface ▷ Language.

Download the translation file, that you want to change. You can edit the file with every UTF-8 capable editor, but we recommend specialized tools like Poedit.

Mark the translation in question as fuzzy and provide your own translation instead.

You can do so
  • by clicking Fuzzy in the toolbar of Poedit or
  • by adding "#, fuzzy" without quotation marks before the msgid.

When you are done, mail the edited .po-file to translation@leppsoft.com and we have it checked.
