Description

The file you are trying to play or edit doesn't contain any audio samples. The file is probably empty.

This may happen if you download sounds directly into Soundpad, but the website only provides the filename like abc.mp3 while the content is something else like an HTML error or an empty JSON response.

You can check the sound file by right-clicking it in Soundpad ▶ Select in explorer. Then open the properties of the file and check its size. If it's only a few bytes, then it's not enough to contain audio data.

Solution

Download the sound file again, but this time with your browser rather than with Soundpad.

If the issue persists, then verify the downloaded file: Check its size and maybe view the content with a text editor.
